We start at Ladybank Train Station |
And take the train to Edinburgh |
Edinburgh Train Station |
We walk up Flesh Market Close |
Which is a long, narrow set of stairs |
We arrive early so we wander around Edinburgh |
And run across the "Photo Trail" |
Where I dutifully take a photo (of Edinburgh Castle) |
We have a snack and watch skateboarders |
Then head to Appleton Tower |
Across from the (under-construction) new Informatics Building |
The lecture is advertised |
We watch as the host waits and finally greets Jorge |
They set up for the lecture |
The room is packed! |
We meet Myshele from the PhD Phorum |
Jorge talks about... |
The Power of Procrastination |
And then takes a photo of us! |
Jorge signs Myshele's books |
Jorge and Myshele |
We buy his books and Jorge signs them |
And gives a funny look |
Someone asks Jorge to sign his PhD Thesis |
Jorge and the Phorumers |
After the talk David and I eat with Myshele at the Nile Valley Cafe... |
An African resturant |
We walk back through Edinburgh |
This sign obscured by a bill says "Bill posters will be prosecuted" |
We head back down Flesh Market Close |
And catch the next train that stops at Ladybank |
On the way home I work on my marking |
And finally we arrive back in Ladybank |
