Settlement

David and I go to Croydon to have our applications processed for Settlement in the UK. This means we now have indefinite leave to remain in the country.

We leave Indy and Molly stretched out on the 'cat-shielded' bed	We change trains in Edinburgh	And travel to London
There we get off at Platform Zero	We take a commuter train to Croydon	I catch a glimpse of the London Eye
And this strange building	Croydon It's clear why people come here!	Our hotel is just two blocks from the Home Office
David in our hotel room	David takes a nap as we take the train back to London	I can see another London icon "The Gherkin"

Here is Traitor's Gate	And there is a trebuchet outside the Tower	This sign warns of flooded paths
Maybe? (to be fair, I think this is for boats)	We pass the old fishmarket	Look close at the decoration

We see Samuel Johnson's house who wrote the first English Dictionary	I'm distracted by a funny little backhoe	We eat dinner in a pub
David with our friends Guy and Petra	(Victoria) Anne in Victoria station on the way back to Croydon	The next morning it's to the Home Office
Success! David with his Resident's Permit	Anne with hers	We head back to London which graciously welcomes me!
We celebrate with Thai for lunch	David in the Thai resturant	We meant to go to the Natural History Museum
But the queue was enormous	So we move on to the next stop: icecream!	Look at all the yummy icecream
David eating icecream	We go to Forbidden Planet which has games and paraphernalia upstairs	And books downstairs (We manage to only buy two!)
Last stop is the British Museum	Inside the British Museum	They have an exhibit on money
I see coins from the Mongolian Empire	And they have a volunteer who lets you hold some very old coins	I liked these dice
And here are some very old gaming dice	The Rosetta Stone was very crowded	On the train home I work on organising photos
It's too bright so I need to shield from the sun	The sun sets as we ride north
