US Trip

David and I went to the International Conference on Complex Systems in Boston, and visited people up and down the East coast.

We pack for the trip and Molly wants to come with us	We take the train to the airport	We change planes in Paris
Getting on the plane	David and Anne on the plane	We can see through the front cameras from our seat
We land in Virginia and drive North	To Jing's apartment in Boston	Jing makes us a nice dinner
We take the T to the conference	From the T there is a nice view of Boston	David puts together his poster
David presents his poster	We go to scientific talks (this is Jeff Schank, a member of my doctoral committee)	And plenary speakers like David Brin

The Science Fiction Panel	After the conference David, Jing, and I go out for Chinese food	We then drive under and out of Boston
To Ann's house in Rhode Island	Where we stay with Ann and Forrest	And see Ruby Ann's cute dog
In Providence we see the Water Fire display	There is a fire juggler	And gondala rides (but they cost a bunch!)
And I'm happy to eat fried dough	We leave Ann's and drive toward Newburgh, NY	And stop at Dunkin Donuts
Before reaching my Aunt Fran's	Aunt Fran in her Jag	I go swiming in Aunt Fran's pool
Aunt Fran and I go to my Grandma's in NJ	And visit	There is much I remember from my childhood like the park I used to play in
And Grandma's candy jar	Yep, it still has candy!	We take Grandma out to eat
And we visit the famous Paterson Falls	Next, David and I visit Ali's vacation house in the Poconos	Where Meghan joins us
We all take a walk in the woods	David in the woods	Ali in the woods

Then we play Sorry at Ali's place	That evening we drive to PA	And spend the night at Meghan's apartment
The next morning it's back to VA	From the Capitol Beltway we can see the Mormon temple	We visit the Twardy's at their new house
Charles and Riverly	Laura and Annie	Annie seems to like biology
Then at my parents we go to a pool party	With my Mom (on the right)	And Dad (on the left)
In the airport the finals of the world cup are playing	From the plane we see the sunset	Changing at Paris again we pass the Concord
And get on a small plane with lots of businessmen for the trip to Edinburgh	There is an interesting rainbow around the plane's shadow	Scotland welcomes us back
And reminds us to drive on the left
